Diagnosis report for Kyle T gaming desktop computer
On Friday 06/09/2019 afternoon around h16:00 in Mr Kyle walked in with a gaming desktop computer and during diagnosis interview Mr Kyle said that he got a new chassis for his gaming desktop computer and he took it to his guy to do a case transfer for him but it wasn’t done properly and the desktop wasn’t switching on, hence he booked it in with us at Matrix Warehouse Princess crossing. I Koketso Monyeki (Technician) told him that it can be done before we close the shop and he can pick it up the next day because he was going away and he needed the desktop as soon as possible as I was working on a two hours’ time frame upon assessment the gaming desktop wasn’t switching on the cabling was incorrect, it was missing motherboard *****s the CPU power cable was pulling and the CPU heat sink was missing one mounting *****, one of the hard drives were not mounted and catching on the motherboard.
Work done
Ø Removed all the cabling Ø Removed the motherboard for cable management Ø Removed the GPU Ø Did cable management Ø Correctly mounted all the Hard Drives Ø Mounted the motherboard on the chassis Ø Mounted the GPU Ø Powered on the desktop
The CPU socket was not opened in the shop as it was just a case transfer, the gaming desktop was collected 07/09/2019 and 09/09/2019 the desktop computer came back so I Koketso Monyeki have a second look at it and for the first time opening the CPU socket for assessment I found physical damages on the CPU array (Bent Pins) that short circuit the CPU.
It seems that in this case Matrix is not to blame. We are more than willing to assist you and can rebuild the PC with working components supp**** to us, at no labour charge.

The Matrix Team
