Ridiculous cancellation fees at Matric college.

If you are looking for an online institution to obtain a matric certificate or upgrade your matric, Matric College is by far the worst institution to do it at. I joined matric college in December 2024 to write the amended senior certificate in June 2025. The salesperson I spoke to Bridgette lord to me and said that it is R450 pm for all six subjects. You only get one set of study material per month, by the time I receive the sixth set of study material it will be exam season in May 2025. the registration process for the senior certificate is entirely your responsibility as the student another factor they failed to mention. When I wanted to cancel on the 1 January 2025 they told me that the cancellation fee is R450 which is a full months payment. All they care about is how much money they can make from us students while doing the bare minimum.

I completed a maths assignment during December and they don’t give you a memorandum to show you where you went wrong, there are no face to face classes so you need the corrections on each assignment to improve on your mistakes.

I would also like to inform everyone that the study material I received are the free government textbooks which anyone can download for free on the Department of Education website. Save yourself money and time and register to write the NSC or the SC at your nearest district office and ask them which learning centres you can enrol in, they can even offer you study material for FREE.
