Master of the High Court.

My father passed away in May, 2018. We reported his estate soon after and was waiting for the letter of executorship for my mother, who was appointed at that stage. Before we received the letter, my mother passed away in December of the same year. We then sent through all the necesarry paperwork to the Master to have me appointed as executor so I could finalise all the estate matters. We waited for about 18 months for the letter, with numerous communications and e-mails sent to enquire as to what was going on. We then received a letter of award that appointed my mother as executor of the estate - almost 2 years after her death!! I am situated in Cape Town and we even requested that the estate be transfered to Grabouw or Cape Town so I could physically go to the offices and deal with the matter, but they just disregarded my request, not even replying to my e-mail.
