Bad move Master Movers

We booked a move with Master Movers in Somerset West/Strand on 30 May 2024. They requested one extra day before the move to pack. 4 Employees arrived late morning and one left again with the truck never to return. By 14:00 they ran out of boxes an tape and couldn't continue for the rest of the day. On the second day, 4 employees arrived late morning again and with the packing already behind, it took them until 16:00 to realise that they were not going to fit all items into the truck. We had to rent a flat bed trailer with extra help in order to finalise the 3 kilometer move, they quoted us R 17 800 for and that was paid for upfront. Boxes packed half full, untaped boxes, items left in cuppboards and drawers in the house we moved from, I had to return a day later with the flat bed trailer and extra help, to pick up what they left in the house. Complaining about this, we were kept waiting for an investigation into the matter that took a month and a half to finalise and a decision was made to pay an amount of R 500 as compensation for the inconvenience we experienced. Decide for yourself, but I would definately not reccommend this company to anyone!
