Cross border policy bull****

We bought a vehicle about a month ago, for the purpose of an upcoming holiday in Mozambique. The holiday has been planned about a year ago and has already been paid, which is thousands. We then requested a cross border letter, only to be denied one because they say that the contract is not 6 months old. I meen this is absurd. No one plans a holiday in a month or two, planning of such a big trip normally gets planned much longer in advance and paid for long before.

We contacted them and explained that everything has been paid for already and that we will lose a lot of money if we need to cancel and the lady just told us that this is not her problem.

I mean this is the first time ever I heard of something like this. It is my vehicle which I pay for every month, but I am not allowed to go where I want to. When ypu sign the contract also no one tells ypu that you need to wait 6 months. The contract only states that the vehicle may not leave RSA without prior consent. Nothing about a time period. What they probably say is that you must pay the vehicle, but they will decide how you may use it and when, and that is ridiculous

Thus really creates a lot of problems and issues, cause it is impossible to cancel our trip and we bought a vehicle that we are not allowed to drive.

Never ever in my life will I refer someone to Marquis financing, I will tell them to steer clear from this company, as their staff is unhelpfull, rude and doesnt even bother to listen to reasoning or situations. They just dont care because it is not them that have to lose money
