Manicaa's Bad Service | No Communication of Receipt of Order/Payment & Delivery Date

Wish I had read the reviews on this site before attempting to buy goods from this website yesterday (25/06/2020). I ordered & did an instant payment for Osco Metal Bookends for R250 and paid R100 for "shipping", despite them being literally 10min from my place. I grew suspicious because there was no confirmation of receipt of my order via e-mail, no communication e-mail to my inbox informing me when my product will be delivered. Prior making the purchase, I thought I'd speed things up and visit their location - I drove there - and was informed by one of the guards around their area that it's only 2 ladies operating this business - one is off sick. I regret making this purchase. I've decided I will try to purchase bookends from another outlet - I needed something metallic and simple with no decorative features. In any case, If I still receive no communication from them in 1 month, I will be filing a complaint with the NCC (National Consumer Protection) and they will purse this issue legally with them. I will also forward them the link to this site. I doubt I will purchase goods from this store.

Hi Shadrack, we sincerely apologize if you didn't get a confirmation about your order from our system. We are doing a major revamp and emails didn't go through. We sent you an email on June 27 that your order will be dispatched in the week of July 6-13. I hope this would make things right. Thank you

hellopeter.com doesn't offer an option to edit a review. I did receive the product I purchased and it was on time and arrived in good condition. I wished to edit or delete this review as it is misleading. I did find your response to my purchase in my spam folder. The only discomfort I have was that it took 3 weeks to arrive, but I can extend the benefit of the doubt to manicaa as we're currently living in a pandemic and it's likely affected how they operate. Will write a new review.
