DO NOT USE Manicca.com

I placed an order with Manicca in October 2020, did not receive my order as stipulated. In December I requested feedback and was advised that I would be refunded. Later in December as I had not received feedback I though I would amend my order for something else. I enquired in April what is going on, received the following:

We are writing to let you know that we are aware of the reputation our company holds and we are reaching out to be completely transparent with our valued customers. Manicaa is a family business, operating from Johannesburg. As one could imagine the pandemic was not something we could foreshadow, to say the least. As the pandemic hit, our online shopping business grew at an unimaginable rate, finally allowing us to grow, and hire more employees. It was at this point that we had decided to outsource our customer services and procurement departments overseas to the Philippines. This arrangement had worked well until the negative reviews had built up finally to the point that we had to take control of the situation. We then repatriated the desks, the work that had been handed back to us from the Philippines, left us with a vast amount of refunds and outstanding orders. Therefore, we are going to ensure sure all refunds and orders are fulfilled Within 60-90 working days Our intention at Manicaa is for our customers to know that we are doing our absolute best to get back to them as soon as we possibly can without losing our business and our employees’ livelihoods. We wish to apologize for any inconveniences and would like to assure our clients that it may take time for us to get back to them, but we are well aware of all the outstanding orders and refunds, and we are dealing with them as fast as possible. We appreciate the patience and understanding some of our customers have shown, and we are making a promise that we will get back to all our customers with integrity and sincerity. So I will be giving them until 8 July as that is the 90 days "3 months" as noted here. But I really would not suggest anyone else purchases from them.
