Mango Clothing Uses **** Sales to Promote Brand

I would like to bring to your attention a company that is using ********** methods to deceive customer and promote their brand.

On the 16th of May 2016, Mango Clothing promoted an online flash sale ( through http://shop.mango.com/home.faces?state=she_388_IN) which lasted for several hours where many items were on sale for R1. Now, I understand that this is an exceptionally good deal even with the R120 shipping costs. Mango Airlines recently did a similar stunt by selling 5000 flight for R1 (http://www.moneyweb.co.za/archive/mango-to-sell-tickets-for-r1/)

I took up the offer with excitement like 100's of other customers and purchased a number of items. I paid using m credit card and received a confirmation email stating that my goods were being prepared for shipment and would reach me within 2-6 days.

Upon reviewing Mango Clothing's Facebook page, there were a lot of people questioning the legitimacy of the sale. The sale seemed to be legit because they were advertising a Spring Sale. Also during the sale and for 24 hours afterwards, the company failed to do any of the following:
Ammend any errors if there were any
Take the website down
Dis-engaged the purchase button
Notify any of their consumers via email
Make a public comment with an explanation on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram

At 10am on the 17th of May, I and every other customer of the sale received an email from Mango stating that the order could not be processed (even though they had taken my money and I had received a confirmation email stating that the order was being prepared for shipment.) The was no explanation as to why they cancelled my order. A further email then followed stating that a refund would be issued. My point (and a point that is shared with many other customers) is that we paid for the goods, they took our money and we received a confirmation email that the goods were being prepared for shipping. Therefore the exchange has been completed and we, the customers, are entitled to receiving our goods within the 2-6 days as stipulated on the shipping terms.

A shop cannot sell something for a price, issue a sale confirmation and then cancel an order with no explanation.
It's like me buying a car for an agreed price, paying for the car and then having the dealer turn around and cancel the order because he later realized he sold it for too little.

As a consumer, we are too often taken advantage of by big corporations. We need to stand and fight this, otherwise it will continue to be over looked. We deserve the items we have paid for.

Looking for to your response and working with on fighting for what is right.

Now apparently, they are altering their turns of conditions, after the fact, to try and save their ****s.
