XUV300

We bought a XUV300 in March 2020. The car was taken for its first service on 9 000km to Mahindra Alberton, Raceview at the end of August, beginning of September. We received a phone call that the clutch fell flat and did not move back into its original position when it was moved from the washbay to the service department. This was replaced through the warranty and we received the car back a few days later. We were told that the car originally had a faulty clutch and thus the reason for what happened.

Saturday (03 November 2020), the clutch started giving problems again. This is less than +-4 000km after the clutch was originally replaced. As we pulled away we heard a sound, as if something has shot loose. Ever since then, everytime the gears are shifted there is a "loose" sound on the gears. The car doesn't sound like it usually does and the output when accelerated is far less than usual. When a certain speed is reached, anything from 60km/h, there is a rattle in the middle of the car. Apparently the gearbox mounting was loose.

Now, in February 2021, we have the exact same issue. Gearbox mounting is loose again according to the report received. This is the third time in less than a year that we have problems with this car and all gearbox issues.

We no longer want this car as we bought this car with the issues, although it was brand new.
