Worst customer service I have experienced ever.
I took my vehicle in for service in mid December last year. I asked to also check the aircon. I was told that the aircon filter needed to be replaced at an additional cost of R 980. I collected the car on the friday but had to return it on the monday due to a stiff clutch and not being able to change gears into first or reverse. The engine noise was also extreme. I was then told that the noise was due to the aircon pump while i needed to replace the clutch kit. I asked if both items shouldn't be covered by waranty as the car just turned three. They said that they would check with Mahindra South Africa and get back to me. By friday the 22 December, i phoned several times with no answer as i still have not heard from them. Then on Saturday morning i drove from Randburg to see them but the offices where closed already for the Christmas season and due to open on 3 January. Any plans to travel over the Christmas period is now cancelled because although i was able to contact the GM, they were unable to do anything and took no accountability. On the 3rd of January they claimed that they had no communication from Mahindra SA. I phoned Mahindra SA myself on the 5th and half an hour later got a call from Krugersdorp stating that the clutch was out of waranty but they would fix the aircon pump. I was told that the car would be available on monday the 8th with fixed aircon but i still needed to fix the clutch which would cost R14 000. I asked if there was any form of assistance i could get as i could not afford that cost. They would get back to me. On Wednesday the 10th I phoned to find out if my car was ready and again inquired about the financial assistance. Thursday 11 January, my car has now been at Mahindra Krugersdorp for a month, they phoned and said that they could fix the clutch at cost plus vat and pay internal labour with no payment plan at a cost of R14 500. Alternatively, the car was available for collection.
