Worst aftersales service from Mahindra Edenvale and Boksburg
We bought a secondhand bantam bakkie cash from Mahindra Edenvale (salesperson office) and Mahindra Boksburg(Where the bakkie was on display) on 27 Oct 2021. The salesperson negotiated about the sale of the vehicle. He convinced us that the bakkie is in excellent good running condition. He even did a 125 point check on the vehicle, including service and repairs. We accepted that the vehicle was in agood condition and a good sale. We did the transaction and they delivered. On the second day, with 33 km done, we noticed an oil leak. After inspection we noticed that the oil was coming from the grearbox side. We immediately contacted the salesperson and first he said that they will look into it. We stopeed using the vehicle to prevent any further damages. 2 days later we receive a emial stating that the dealership will not be fixing the leak as we did not take out a extented. According to the motor industry ombudsman all vehicle, regardless of warrenty has an automatic 6 months repair or return vehicle gaurentee. We are unable to contact anybody from Mahindra as they are all ignoring our calls. We have in writing offered 2 alternatives being 1). They (mahindra) repair the bakkie or We have the bakkie repairs by Ford SA for Mahindra's account or 2) our money is fully refunded including all costs. They rep**** saying that they will not pay for repairs at Ford SA. They did try to bully us in paying for the repairs at their workshop at R500 per hour labour. I have tried to contact the area manager, Warren Olsen, with no success. The branch manager refuses to speak to me however he gets the salesperson to contact my frail mother.
The aftersales service is most appauling and disappointing. We can never recommend Mahindra to anybody as their aftersales service ia exstreamly bad.
