Unsafe, *********, and Unprofessional – Mahindra SA Has Failed Me
I purchased a brand-new Mahindra XUV300 in March 2023, believing its safety features would protect me as a single mother. Instead, in just 14 months, this vehicle has left me stranded and unsafe more than any second-hand car ever would. - Incident 1 (March 2025): My car suddenly lost all power at night in an unfami**** area. Mahindra Kuilsriver kept my car for two weeks without a diagnosis. Only after I escalated to customer care was the issue resolved within 24 hours – a faulty sensor. - Incident 2 (September 2025): I reported a noise when pressing the clutch. The dealership quoted R25,000 to replace the entire clutch, even though the receptionist admitted the concentric was the problem. My own research confirmed this part is covered under warranty. Attempting to charge me for a full clutch replacement was ********* and dishonest. - Incident 3 (February 2026): Yesterday, I lost power on the highway in peak traffic. A grinding sound left me unable to select gears. Roadside assistance arranged towing, but instead of being handled properly, my car was abandoned at a closed dealership with the key handed to security. The dealership had no idea who the car belonged to. This negligence could have cost me my vehicle entirely. Mahindra SA has shown unprofessionalism, irresponsibility, and a complete disregard for customer safety. The poor quality of the vehicle and ********* conduct of the dealership have destroyed my trust.
Warning to potential buyers: Do not purchase a Mahindra. You are not buying peace of mind – you are buying endless problems.
