Unreliable engines and poor after sales support.

My Karoo pikup had a complete engine failure with 77000km on the clock. It has a 4 year, 120000km warranty. Mahindra refuses to assist to fix the engine, since the vehicle is 5 years old. This bakkie was serviced every year by the manufacturer at intervals even shorter that is required.

This is a warning to anyone thinking to buy a Mahindra, you will find good reviews just like I did, but the chances of buying a dud is more likely than with other brands, and if you get one of those you will not get any assistance from Mahindra. They clearly don't stand behind their brand, as is visible from all the reviews here.
