total lack of after sale service and the quality of vehicle that Mahindra offers.
We have a Mahindra Scorpio S11 2018 Model with 98000 km. We purchased this vehicle through a Mahindra dealer in Johannesburg ( We found them on Autotrader) in December last year. We are based in Cape Town and the car was sent down to George where we arrange for it to be collected. A couple of weeks ago the gearbox started giving us problems. We have an extended warranty on the car, so we took it to the Mahindra workshop in Goodwood. They had this car for half of the day, and by midday they just told us because it is a seal unit, they cannot open it and we have to replace the entire gearbox. I do not know what they actually inspected for the hours that they had the vehicle. The warranty covers R20 000 of the R73 329 quote that we received. When we wanted to start the claim process, the Goodwood branch was ordered by the warranty department to open the sealed unit to inspect the gears that are faulty. And they are refusing this. They said we must go to a gear box specialist, so that the specialist can open the gearbox and tell them what the problem is so they can report this. What the actual f!
We've had this car for 10 months. During this time, we have seen an oil leak in the first month that we had it and it was a struggle to get Mahindra George office to fix it. We also experienced faulty electric windows and the aircon makes a noise when we switch off the car. We are extremely disgusted and furious at the total lack of after sale service and the quality of vehicle that Mahindra offers. Do not buy this brand ever!
