It was booked in by a service agent called Johlan. The vehicle was not starting and the immobiliser light was flashing.

When the vehicle was returned to me it was still not functional. A possible fault can be the ECU which I had tested at Auto ECU, no fault was found. When I tried to use the central locking it was also now not operational and upon closer investigation I found that the whole alarm and central locking system has been removed. This urged me to investigate the rest of the vehicle and I found the following as well:

Someone has dropped something on the windscreen on the driver side and it cracked right through to the passenger side.

A piece of the fuel pipeline has been removed and not replaced.

The wires under the dash was opened up and worked on but not reconnected and closed up.

The fuel filler release switch was broken

The dash cover was also broken.

There was a cut into the leather of the steering wheel.

Surely this is not the type of workmanship anybody should receive from a “reputable” dealership.

This was reported to Johlan on the 6th of December and he assured me that the service manager will get into contact with me. To date I have not had any communication on this matter.

Your reply and assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Carel Theron

********** 470

If there is any question furtherw please do not hesitate to send me a mail

regards

ARNO MEYER

MAHINDRA VAAL

PARTS MANAGER

TEL: **********

FAX: **********

Sel: ***
**********
Website: www.mahindravaal.co.za

C/o Hansstrijdom & FW Beyersstreet, Vanderbijlpark

Many Thanks

Carel Theron

********** 470
