Shoddy workmanship and care from Mahindra Worcester
Shoddy workmanship and care from Mahindra Worcester On 24 June I towed my Mahindra Scorpio D/Cab to Worcester Mahindra (BMW) with an electrical fault. I was informed that they could only start on 27 June with fault tracing. After regular follow ups I was told that the vehicle was transferred to an auto electric repair workshop. When they received the vehicle back they also replaced a leaking diesel pipe. I was told that the vehicle was ready on 11 July. I collected the vehicle on 13 July. The work carried out was discussed with me and I left the workshop. Two days later I needed to use my windscreen wipers, they did not work. I took it to a local auto electrician and found the following: 1. My fuse cover was missing (it was later found wedged under the front seat). 2. The wiper fuse was blown due to a coupling to a solenoid and the fuse being too low on amps. 3. My engine protector cover was missing (still missing). When I approached the workshop I received the run around and denials of responsibility. The vehicle was delivered to them complete and I expect to receive it back in the same condition. The run around has gone on for almost two weeks and I have had it. I have been a loyal Mahindra customer since 2007. I take pride in my vehicles and look after them, I service and maintain them according to their requirements. For that reason, this vehicle has close on 580 000km on the clock and apart from normal wear and tear, it is still going strong. To say the least, I am very peeved by the shoddy workmanship and lack of responsibility.
