<p>This post is made with the objective to warn current and potential Mahindra (especially Montana branch) customers.</p> <p> </p> <p>Bought a brand new Mahindra Scorpio from Mahindra Montana and 15 months down the line sitting with a vehicle on 22 000km which has been to the workshop 5 times for respray as a result of poor workmanship, alarm sensors replaced, rubber beading inserted between panels (not standard issue for this model) to cover poor workmanship, rear bumper remains misaligned even after various repairs, right front side shaft was repaired, windscreen rubber beading blowing out while driving, diff is repaired followed by unexplained vibration so much that the gear lever vibrates loose, diff pinion seal and vacuum modulator and turbo sensors replaced.</p> <p> </p> <p>To get dealer principal Willie Jooste to do the necessary work was a torment right from the get-go, because he simply did not want to do it.</p> <p> </p> <p>At one point during negotiations Willie Jooste was willing to trade the Mahindra Scorpio on a Suzuki Grand Vitara on his floor advertised for R204 900.00, but offered us a price of R235 000.00. When questioned he said that it was a mistake on the ad is not prepared to accept the reduced advertised price.</p> <p> </p> <p>We are informed that the errors with the vehicle occurred as a result of two holiday visits to Mozambique and normal wear & tear (remember it's only now only 22 000km). We were also advised to preferably not engage 4x4 mode.</p> <p> </p> <p>We have not had full use of the vehicle since April 2016 and the bank advised us in June not to drive with it any further, after we approached them to help to cancel the purchase contract, because we feel that the vehicle is not reliable and poses a threat to us and to other road users.</p> <p> </p> <p>If you want to know more about this saga, contact Willie Jooste at Mahindra Montana (if he is honest enough he might tell the truth)</p> <p> </p> <p>#MahindraMontanaMustFall</p>
