Mahindra Vaal Mahindra South Africa
We bought a Mahindra S6 22 months ago brand new from #MahindraVaal in Vanderbijlpark . It had to have the brake discs skimmed at 1000 kms .We complained to the service manager who told us it's normal .Then at 2000 kms the vehicle started jumping out of gear . Complained to #MahindraVaal to be told that they have checked it and there is nothing wrong . The vehicle continued to do this and at one stage I asked the service manager to make sure it is all logged on their system in case there becomes a bigger issue . So it jumped out of gear regularly and was reported many times .#MahindraSA the thrust bearing then failed (just out of warranty on the 50000 km ) so the vehicle went in for this to be replaced at our cost. Before this the interior brake light fell off the ceiling and dangled and the consultant had to check and verify if this was under warranty , it was as it turned out .#MahindraVaal #MahindraSA then the new service manager decided to drain the gearbox and he found metal filings so the gearbox was a failed mechanical part . Over the week several calls and a face to face visit was made and each time he insisted that it would be a new replacement gearbox and NOT a second hand reconditioned part from Mayfair Gearboxes in Johannesburg . Three weeks later a reconditioned ."floating gearbox" was installed . Despite complaints to Mahindra Customer Care #MahindraSA with no feedback or call we have been forced to have a second hand part in a vehicle with aprox 63000 kms and remaining warranty . The very patronizing Tessa Pienaar ***ner of #MahindraVaal ) called me today in the wake of negative posts I have been making on Mahindra adverts on social media . She sneered that I ran to social media (same social media her branch uses to entice customers ). She feels superior and womansplained things to me as matter of fact . She insists that all motor brands in South Africa deal with failed gearboxes in the same manner as they have with me . This woman could not be bothered to call me back in November when this happened . Why today ? And then we had Nicolette from Mahindra Customer Care call . Patronizing and rude #MahindraSA , she told us that if we don't like their policy of replacing mechanical parts with second hand ones we must take it to the Ombudsman . When my partner explained to Tessa Pienaar #MahindraVaal that we have not used the vehicle much since this happened because he doesn't feel safe in the knowledge that it won't break down , she sarcastically commented that he must then push it to the dealership . He put the phone down on her . This is a disgraceful performance , it is unacceptable #MahindraSA , #MahindraVaal . We asked Tessa Pienaar to buy back the vehicle and she declined very quickly .
