Mahindra SA poor aftersales
I bought a Mahindra Scorpio 4 x 4 in January 2018 with the balance of the Manufacturer's Warranty. I reported a noise on the diff, and the vehicle was send to a Mahindra dealer to inspect. They reported that they could not find any fault. As the noise continued, the vehicle was booked in at Mahindra East Rand. At this stage the vehicle also had no heat in the cabin from the heater / blower. The vehicle was still under Manufacturer Warranty. Despite several attempts to find the fault on both the diff and the heater blower, they could not fix either issue. The vehicle was then booked in at Mahindra Benoni, and once again the problems could not be solved. The vehicle reached the end of the Manufacturer Warranty at the end of August 2018. With the next service in February 2019 at Mahindra East Rand, the problem on the diff was discovered. My vehicle has been there for almost 3 weeks, while the branch tries to negotiate a "good will" claim from Mahindra SA. All the while I am stuck without a vehicle. As far as I am concerned the claim should be not even be considered "good will", as the issue was reported on several occasions and at 3 different branches. The feedback from Mahindra East Rand is very random, and mostly only when I ask for an update. I have had NO contact from Mahindra SA to discuss the matter. Really poor service, bordering on *********, as the problem could only (and suddenly) be identified at the first service AFTER the vehicle went out of Warranty.
