Mahindra SA a nightmare to deal with

Bought 4 x new Scorpio single cab bakkies over last 3 years - PIK UP 2.2 mHAWK S4 P/U D/S All 4 have reqd new clutches before 50 000 kms. The cost per clutch from R29k to R34k. Originally we couldnt buy clutch kit separately like every other manf ( avg industry cost with labour is R10k for a clutch replacement ) It had to include new flywheel every time Mahindra SA say its possible to buy just the clutch kit but its not recommended ( wouldnt say why ) My business runs 25 bakkies mostly H100s avg clutch replacement 175k kms The mahindras were towing a 2 ton trailer when clutches started going I bought 2 new toyotas to do the towing job 10 months ago and they have 80 000 kms on now no clutch issues but have to replace brake pads every 10 000kms R34k for a clutch is just outrageous when industry avg is R10k Mahindra SA wont commit in writing or comment. Permanently evasive on this issue

Second issue is you cannot buy a brake disk without all attachments so its R10k if you need new discs

Thirdly one bakkie seized engine at 10 000 km s. ( 6 weeks from new ) They sent to engineers and rebuilt it with new sub assembly. They would not replace it Again all top people at Mahindra SA made my life a nightmare no returned calls or email response On a last positive note they get the best fuel consumption in my fleet by quite a margin at 8 L / 100 km. Also drive well but maintenance is too expensive as we avg 6000 to 8000 kms pm per vehicle
