Mahindra loves the blaming game! DO NOT BUY ONE!!! BAD CARS and SERVICE
DO NOT BUY A MAHINDRA! They blame you for everything that goes wrong that must be replaced under warranty. Purchased my BRAND NEW Mahindra Kuv ********** Diesel Model (White Pearl) from Mahindra Heidelberg (Somerset West) May 2017. Johan Nel was the sales person and Ryan the Manager.
05 May 2017 (Proof of correspondence available) I sent an email to Heidelberg Mahindra about my unaligned right back bumper guard - I requested for it to be fixed and feedback on the PDI repor as to why there were marks made on the car, but it was not fixed. NEVER supp****. I was told that all Mahindra's look this way and there is nothing they can do about it. I had this fixed on my own time and expense. PATHETIC! I also notified them that my car struggled to get out of 5th gear, no response received. Mahindra Goodwood "apparently fixed it", but occasionally I still struggle with it.
01 June 2017 (Proof of correspondence available) Car went in for it's 3K service, Mahindra Goodwood advised me that the vibration I am feeling on the rear of my car was due to the right wheel rim being buckled. I requested for it to be replaced and the wheel alignment to be done. I struggled until the 14th of June to get feedback from Mahindra Heidelberg and my tyre replaced. - I was told that it was my fault that the wheel rim was buckled and I should be responsible to have the wheel alignment done. I requested feedback on the PDI report again from Ryan and if the car was involved in a collision pre-purchase, I was spoken to strongly on "how can I question their integrity". I received a very emotional email, with no punctuation and many spelling errors from Johan's personal email address saying that he will replace the tyre at his own expense. I had the wheel alignment done on my own expense - even though NO DEALER in Cape Town has the specs for this vehicle's wheel alignment?? (HOW UNPROFESSIONAL and PATHETIC) Various times I have requested that Mahindra Goodwood check my boot lock as it struggled to unlock.
19 June 2018 (Proof of correspondence available) My car went in for it's 30K service. Carika, Mahindra Goodwood let me know that they found a lot of oil in my water bottle. Being a new car, Mahindra Goodwood mechanics are the only people opening and closing my bonnet - I KNOW i don't have to check oil and water, also, was advised when receiving my car that I should not fill it with anything except Mahindra approved products - SO I DONT! - I was told that I put oil in the water bottle and should avoid doing so. When driving home that night, my left front light fused, the second unlock switch did not turn on the lights and my car "open door warning" light came on. I phoned mahindra and advised them that when my car comes in again, they must please take a look at my wiring as something is wrong. I had to take the car back at 31k's
Recently Ryan from Mahindra Heidelberg phoned me for recommendations of friends that would like to buy a Mahindra. I told him that I was still waiting on feedback for last years complaints, he asked me when would be a convenient time to discuss my issues, I said the following Monday @ 12h00 - he never phoned me back - looks like a characteristic of an amazing Manager, don't you think?
04 July 2018 (Proof of correspondence available) I took my car back - there WAS AGAIN oil found in my water bottle and was told that this is due to the system self cleaning. I told them that I was not happy with the feedback and will bring my car back at 32k's km. My light was replaced and the Bonnet Switch had to be replaced under warranty because it fused? I was told that cars are manufactured by people and faults are evident!?!?!?
09 July 2018 (Proof of correspondence available) I emailed Carika again, my right front light fused. I was again told that this is not a warranty item and lights fuse?? I demanded that they look at my wiring because obviously there is something wrong... I live in Darling, our roads are full of animals and very dark at night. I work in Cape Town and cannot drive like this.
11 July 2018 (Proof of correspondence available) I stopped at our local mechanic (Thys) in Darling to have my light bulb replaced as I needed to collect a stroller from Sunningdale at 18h00 in the evening and cannot drive with only one light, it is to dangerous and I will get fined. The only reason I asked him was I know this is not a warranty item and I cannot lose my warranty as a result of it. I will not have anyone touch the car as I know it will affect the warranty. - I can assure you Mahindra will not take responsibility - why would they, they have not thus far FOR ANYTHING!? When Thys opened my bonnet, he asked me why there was SO MUCH oil in my water bottle, we also checked my oil which was way under the required amount - I immediately phoned Carika and took photos and sent it to her. I let Thys speak with Greg Mahindra Goodwood and was told again but someone put oil in the water bottle - ARE YOU SERIOUS!? They told me that I need to bring my car in. I told them that I did not feel safe driving my car this way and that it might damage my engine? I requested for Mahindra to collect and was told to phone Road Side assist? You cannot even offer a basic service of this? Your brand is pathetic! I phoned Carika 2 more times that evening and emailed her that I need a car to drive with as I am far ahead pregnant and have appointments in Cape Town as well my husband travels for work, so I NEED A CAR! I was told that Mahindra South Africa makes the rules, so now I need you to make an exception to your rule and provide me with service I actually paid for?!
I want my deposit and purchase amount back and I want to give your car bac**** Your service provision is pathetic and your people obviously ***********! I also need a courtesy car as I have a job to do. If this is the beginning WHILE UNDER WARRANTY - where are we heading? I am pregnant and this is causing a lot of stress at this stage! I will escalate this to the ombudsman if no response received! If anything else happens, I will hold Mahindra South Africa accountable! - believe me, this is the first and the last Mahindra that you will sell to me or anyone I know!
FEEDBACK REQUIRED!
