Mahindra Lephalale & MSA

### Extremely Disappointing Service – Mahindra Lephalale & Mahindra South Africa

We are extremely disappointed with the ongoing service we have received from **Mahindra Lephalale and Mahindra South Africa**.

Our Mahindra currently has **less than 15,000 km on the clock**, yet we have experienced repeated mechanical problems and lengthy periods where the vehicle is unusable.

The latest issue occurred on **7 August 2026**, when the **manifold broke again**. We took the vehicle to Mahindra Lephalale **that same day**. It is now **24 August**, more than two weeks later, and we still have no clear indication of when the vehicle will be repaired.

Every time we follow up, there seems to be another reason for the delay:

* They are still waiting for confirmation/approval to purchase the part. * The mechanic is on leave. * The mechanic is away on training. * There is still no definite repair date or meaningful progress update.

Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. **Almost every time this vehicle goes in for repairs, it takes approximately 2–3 weeks.**

The vehicle has already had its **10,000 km service**, yet approximately **2,000 km after the service it started giving problems again**. For a vehicle with less than 15,000 km, the amount of trouble and downtime we have experienced is simply unacceptable.

This is also a **business vehicle**. Every day that it stands at the dealership affects our ability to work, serve our customers and earn an income. We are **losing business because of a vehicle that should still practically be new**.

What is especially frustrating is the lack of urgency and communication. We should not have to continually follow up just to find out whether a part has even been approved or ordered.

We bought a Mahindra expecting a reliable work vehicle and proper after-sales support. Instead, we have experienced **repeated mechanical failures, weeks of downtime and constant delays**.

We would like **Mahindra South Africa to intervene urgently**, provide us with a clear explanation of what is happening, confirm when the required part will be supp**** and fitted, and provide a proper solution to these repeated failures.

A vehicle with less than 15,000 km should not spend this much time at a dealership being repaired.

Now we’ve heard that the Manifold is only send in for ‘skim’ not even a full replacement or repair, meaning we will have this conversation again in 2000km.

We have been patient, but this situation has gone on for far too long.
