Mahindra cracked chassis
My Mahindra has a cracked chassis on both sides. The bakkie has 39 291km on. Mahindra Rustenburg came to fetched the vehicle on the 3rd August. Mahindra regarded this as a factory problem. They have stripped the complete vehicle to rebuild the vehicle on a new chassis. That they are executing via a panel beater in Rustenburg and not the Mahindra factory. Mahindra HATFIELD has tried to convince Mahindra South Africa to resolve this matter. Mahindra South Africa doesn’t even regard me worth a telephone call to discuss this matter with me. I have contacted Mahindra customer care on 12 August 2021 and requested that they send me in writing, via email, what they are going to do with this vehicle. Nothing from them. They don’t even try to help out with a vehicle to assist on the farm. What a disgrace
I am utilizing this vehicle on the farm and my son is the only driver. I have no other vehicle on the farm. I must rent a vehicle to transport the feed of the animals to the farm. I had to cancel all the hunting groups that were supposed to come on the weekends of 1st, 8th and 15th August. This is a huge loss of income as we were very negatively influenced with the COVID 19 lockdowns and the pandemic.
In my discussion today with Naledi of Mahindra SA, I was told in short that they repair the vehicle and that's the end of the story. No support at all or any intention to come to an amicable agreement between the parties. I was so shocked that a big company like Mahindra is prepared to treat a customer like this.
