I purchased a brand new vehicle Mahindra S10 D/C 4x4 Flagship that was only purchased due to the dealer in Alberton Jaun Van Rooyen upgrading the suspension and adding 17-inch tires in order for the vehicle to manage the terrain in the Eastern Cape. In hindsight, the dealer and salesman knew this was impossible the Mahindra is based on their *1970 technology. For example, the vehicle can only take 16-inch tires that are almost impossible to find the vehicle cannot take 17 inch or larger tires. The suspension cannot be upgraded or adjusted causing the clearance to be raised. I returned the vehicle the next working day or tried to the clause added in all contracts causes the vehicle even if returned having not matched the specs a totally different item the purchaser is only refunded something like 24% OF THE PURCHASE PRICE PAID THE DAY BEFORE. The flagship 4x4 16-inch tires standard rub against the vehicle this is common in all their vehicles so besides not being able to go off-road it cannot even park on a flat surface, for example, Sandton City as soon as the wheel is turned more than 60% something you do all the time it gets stuck stinking of rubber. This is how they sold a brand new vehicle. I was told that the infotainment system has GPS. tire pressure gauges, hll assist downhill assist it has GPS but it is worse than the first GPS devices I imported from China pre-android with **** maps it cannot even find a Mahindra branch. The HQ and branches/dealers around SA only reply if the header of your email contains the words 'Buy A Vehicle' It has taken almost 3 weeks to find out that the service is 6 months /10 000 km not 12 month 10 000 km it took 3 weeks to get a reply I had to lie and complete a Test Drive form online and the dealer in Heidelberg also said the service is 12 months the guy then called me back the next day to say 6 months thus after calling to book a service 4 days before the 6 months date it is now almost 24 days and still no service even after arranging with Mahindra PE arriving at around 10 am on Monday by 3 pm they had not even started the vehicle had not moved it was worse than going to the licensing department. The sales dealer is very different from where the service takes place. I have called and emailed everyone from the customer care to CEO all emails not rep****. The warranty/guarantee and customer care handed to the AA who hand it to local haulers only pay R 350.00 no matter if the vehicle is brand new if you require accommodation, food, car rental that is it even if the vehicle has less than 5000 km is under warranty and the problem is 110% a Mahindra fault. It has taken about 3 weeks and I have not even received R350 000.00 This is not a vehicle you want to buy! Take the advise or do not learn the hard way. My job has been lost I am stuck in a little drop with a brand new 4x4 that cannot do anything it is supposed to do besides having totally different specs to what was promised. This is ***** and morally stunted. Mahindra Shame on You!
