Car Deposit Refund Dispute

On the 29th December 2014 Mrs Hlomela went to Mahindra(West Rand) under Brothers Executive Auto(Roodepoort) she app**** for a car and put down a deposit of R50 000.00. On the 30th December 2014 she was told the application was approved by Westbank at 12% interest, she was not happy. After unsuccessfully securing better financing deal she called to the dealer to say she won't be taking the car anymore. She got in contact with Jacques on the week of the 5th January 2015 for the deposit refund . Jacques told her the money will be refunded and should be in her account within 2 days, but this never happened. She asked me to go to the dealer on Saturday the 24th January 2015 to enquire. I met Jacques and he said he will deposit the money on Monday the 26th January 2015 but he will only refund her R35 000-00 and not R50 000-00 Mrs Hlomela deposited. He said he is keeping the R15 000-00 for loss of profit, he had no such agreement with her verbally or in writing. Mrs Hlomela would like to have a fully deposit back. She signed nothing with the dealer and informed them of her cancelling over the phone within 24 hours. Please help!
