Best Service a Dealership - Brits Mahindra

In the glory days of this fair country of ours, there was an expectancy of honour and pride when it came to workmanship. This is sadly not the case anymore. Nowadays when you take a vehicle into a dealership, you, as the owner can expect to have to double check all the work, if you have the knowledge to do so. This sadly means that most people will get hoodwinked. I am in the fortunate position of having a technical background and therefore can defend my hard earned money against these charlatans. I say again that it is very sad that this is even necessary. I have had such a run in not to long ago with a brand new vehicle. This in the end led me to move brands and I ended up with the underdog of the South African market, or are they? My previous mention fallout with the major brand LDV still left me out of pocket due to the immature sale of the vehicle. This led me to rethinking my next purchase so I bought a second-hand Mahindra Sorpio SUV 4x4. It being second-hand came with challenges. First, it was the gearbox, they are notorious for this I was told. Well I disagree. In my investigation into this I found that the gearbox was butchered by the second-hand dealer when they decided to fill it with the wrong oil. Glad to say that this was a problem easily solved by my local Mahindra dealership. The next up was the differential. This was again the doing of the second-hand dealer. They had decided in their infinite wisdom to take out the spares needed for the limited slip diff lock. This was a fun fact I became aware of when I went on a 4x4 ride. I asked the second-hand dealer why they did this, and the answer was they could not get it to work. This again was an oil issue. Had they have just filled it with LS oil there would have been no problems. Even this was an easy fix for my local Mahindra dealership. Then came the biggest expense of it all, the engine. The damage to my Scorpio’s engine was significant. I was at a total loss and pressed for time. Mahindra Brits took on the challenge as if it was nothing. The workshop manager Auryn Nicholas and his head technician Wynand Fourie was instrumental in my experience with this. They were handling this with the same ethic as I started this letter out with. I found myself back in those glory days. Their knowledge and ethic set me right at ease and I never felt the need to check any of their work. I was kept in the loop throughout the whole process and it was great. Then came the delivery date, the car was not ready. I was despondent and stressed out as I had to have the vehicle the next day for a work trip to Middelburg. Auryn promptly informed me that he will work on the car till it was done and then phone me to collect. I received two sms messages from him as the night progressed. Finally at 21:15 I was informed that I can collect. I arrived at the dealership to find Auryn and Wynand putting the final touches on my car. They were as friendly as they were in the morning. I think it is important to let the people out there know that honour and pride in workmanship still exist. Mahindra Brits, thank you for your great service and proud workmanship. It is an honour to be a client. I look forward to a great relationship that I hope will last for years to come.

Again a very special Thanks to Auryn Nichols and Wynand Fourie. You have restored my faith in a dealership does care about its clients. Brits Mahindra, is for sure the best dealership I have ever dealt with.
