Rude and degrading nurses

What a horrific experience. Its so sad that if you are part of the majority in SA that can't afford medical aid, then you are treated like filth by our public healthcare system. Mahatma Gandhi is the absolute worse. I know the pressure on the hospital to provide treatment to a large group of people daily that is why I didn't mind going to the hospital at 3 in the morning n waiting in long queues. The only thing I had an issue with is the rude staff. Not all of them but most. Sadly in GOPD a black head nurse asked me what I'm there for and when I showed her the referral letter from my doctor she told me u need to go we can't see u today we will make an appointment for another day. This was after waiting the entire day in the queue. The Indian doctor beside her made snide comments and was extremely rude. I was standing Abit far at this time and couldn't see their name tags. It was quite serious and after actuay looking at my note they sent me for bloods and the nurse there was an absolute angel. You can tell the difference between those doing it for a paycheck versus those doing it out of passion. I am so stressed about my health but truthfully I'm stressing more about my next visit.
