Extremely disappointing experience with security
My grandfather has suffered **three heart attacks** and is currently receiving treatment at Gandhi Hospital. During an already terrifying time for our family, the behaviour of some of the Calvin Security guards has been absolutely unacceptable. I was refused permission to take my grandfather juice in Emergency/Casualty, even though he had not eaten the entire day. I even asked the guard if he could take it to him, but I was simply told that it was not his problem. My mother was also chased out of the ward while she was **feeding my grandfather**, despite him still having food in his mouth. There was no compassion or consideration for the fact that he is a vulnerable, seriously ill patient. We also experienced extremely poor communication when my grandfather was moved between departments. We were sent from MOPD towards Ward 5 and told to walk outside through the parking area, wasting around 15 minutes trying to find him, only to then spend another few minutes signing in. What makes this even more upsetting is the **inconsistent way visiting rules appear to be enforced**. We have seen other patients with multiple family members around them, yet our family is repeatedly confronted and rushed out. I am also deeply concerned about what appears to be **different treatment towards us as an Indian family**. I cannot understand why we are treated with such hostility while other families seem to receive different treatment. We understand that security has rules to enforce. **What we do not accept is rudeness, disrespect, poor communication and a complete lack of compassion.** Families come to hospitals worried about their loved ones. We should not have to fight with security just to make sure a seriously ill patient is fed, supported and treated with dignity. **Gandhi Hospital needs to seriously review the conduct and training of its security personnel. Patients and their families deserve better.**

Mahatma Gandhi Hospital - A Death Trap
This hospital is one of the worst hospitals ever. They have more dead bodies in their mortuary than patients alive in their wards. My brother is in stage 5 chronic renal failure. They turned him away on Thursday saying to come back this week Wednesday. He got really bad on Saturday and we rushed him to their casualty. They made us wait with him for 12 hours before being admitted. Then there isn’t any beds, so he is laying there from Saturday, in a casualty bed, without eating, without using the toilet and without bathing, in a casualty that smells of rotting flesh and urine. He is a 61-year old grantee. How can this place be so pathetic with no sympathy or empathy towards the sickly and elderly. They don’t even deserve this 1-star rating. They deserve a minus infinity as their rating. The way the staff from the doctors, nurses and security treat the patients and their families, they will all die a miserable and painful death, each and every one of them.

No movement on queues
The service in this hospital is beyond poor. I brought in my elderly grandmother who is on a wheelchair and we waiting for over an hour for her to check for blood pressure, there is no movement in the queue. Service is disgusting

Worse hospital ever nurse are very rude
On the 9 of March 2026 my uncle was rushed to the hospital that night he was left in a wheelchair till the next day which is the 10 of March 2026 he was given a drip and a urine bag my uncle has kidney failure and was in so much pain. They couldn't even give him a bed to lay down my poor aunt had to wait outside the hospital was told she is not allowed inside. The nurse was so rude to her told her my uncle needs to wait his turned even though he is over 70 years old he only got a bed at mopd at 4pm .what is the government doing about this such bad service for sick and old patients .nurse and doctors don't care about the sick people that comes in have to wait 10hours just to get seen at .people complain but nothing seems to change the boards of the hospital does nothing about this unbelievable really makes me sick

Maternity nurses!!
I cannot even begin to express how terrible the experience has been for the past two days in this hospital!! My sister has been admitted to deliver her baby and the treatment from the nurses??disgusting. After being neglected for hours,being left unattended and to top it off there was no water or even food. It’s been two days with no water which means she can’t bath, still no food and even drinking water. To top it off due to hygiene purposes we sent my sister clothes to change since her gown had blood in it only to find that this nurse will say “put you gown back on and remove that dress” my sister explained the gown is dirty she wants to wash it first if it happens that the water comes back the nurse said “ it’s your blood after all so go put that gown on”. This is not the first ill treatment to experience in this hospital, I have been there before I decided to self discharge because the abuse was just too much, at some point this hospital needs to get people that love to do their jobs!!

Close the hospital!
Where do I start ! I cannot believe this hospital?? They literally have more security guards than staff ! My dad was referred to this hospital by his GP due to blood test results and was instructed to immediately seek medical attention. From 10am right up until 2am the next morning , the only procedure that was done was an x-ray which took less than 5 minutes. My father has difficultly breathing and was not even given the immediate and urgent attention that he needed. The guards started packing up chairs leaving us , the people who were assisting the patient , standing. Literally for like 5 hours! I walked out with my dad at around 2.10am and took him home only for him to suffer another attack ! But he's now in one of the nicest hospitals and is getting the treatment he needs.

Close the hospital!
