Unreasonable deduction on Deposit

Unit 26 Redwood Complex

I paid a deposit of R5250 when i took up a lease with Mafadi for the mentioned unit, then a deposit top up of R262.5. when the initial period of my lease passed

I gave Mafadi a 1 month notice to vacate their premises.

The unit i stayed in was kept in a and left in good condition, however Steven-Mafadi Building Caretaker informed me that the walls would have to be painted where the couches leaned against

Mafadi has now only refunded me R2816.44 of my deposit

I need to know why r2696.06 was deducted deducted from my deposit. My deposit was also supposed to have been put in an interest bearing account.

Mafadi please fix this issue
