The worst property managers
I am the owner as Manhattan Place and must say that i am fed up with Mafadi. My levies are at R3400 excluding rates and taxes and electricity for a two bedroom apartment in Balfour. I've been trying to sell my unit for over a year and the reason why i have lost on 8 potential buyers is of the rediculous high levies and not well looked after complex. Since Mafadi took over the other property managers, over 4 years ago, they have never painted complex. all complaints fall on deaf ears. I've dropped the listed price to settling the bank because of the state of our complex.

Thank you for the complaint received and our apologies that you feel that way towards the managing agent.
Please be aware that levies are payable to the scheme, for the upkeep of the Body Corporate for common areas and the exterior of the building. Quotes have been obtained to repaint the walls of the buildings for the Trustees consideration and approval. The budget is further approved at every AGM by the owners. Mafadi as Managing Agent do not have a mandate to increase levies on our own. Trustees on the other hand are mandated to increase levies by up to 10% on month one of a financial year.
