Mafadi Management Letting Sales - are they above the law?!!!

<p>i used to be a tenant at a complex managed by Mafadi Management Letting Sales residing in a 4 bedroom unit in Bramley. The tenants are charged a flat rate of R50.10c incl for every kilolitre of water used. I have brought the matter to the attention of the Tribunal Council in MArch/April 2017 and they were instructed to provide me with proof that they are charging the correct tarrifss. They have clearly ignored the instruction and to date I am still waiting, and they are still charging the tenants the high tariffs. I have followed up the matter with Tribunal Council to inform them that their instruction to Mafadi Management is ignored and that they should take the necessary action for the ignorance of the instruction. Tribunal Council has done nothing about the matter and I am still waiting. Mafadi Managment Letting Sales, lock tenants out of their units, switch off their lights without providing the tenants with a court order. I have now moved out of the unit as their management style and disrespect shown towards the tenants are unacceptable. It has been a month and they still did not pay the interest on my deposit, yet the lease agreement clearly show that interest is payable on deposits, they event posted an article a couple of years to ago to proof that they are a trusted and reliable Letting AGency who follows the rules ( http://mafadi.co.za/rental-deposits-the-cans-and-cants/). I have sent numerous emails to Mafadi to follow up, finally the operations manager instructed the accounts manager Shannon Davids to pay the interest. Shannon Davids has ignored his instruction, ignore my emails and when i do get to speak to her telephonically her behaviour is autrocious. i moved out end of June it is now the 4th August and i am still waiting for my interest payments. They also charged me R250.00 for 2 remotes and i am still waiting for the invoice from them to proof to me that the amount charged for the remotes are correct. Mafadi management Letting Sales manage Telmond and Hollyland in Bramley including various other buildings inner city JHB , Hillbrow etc. I am trying to comprehend why do they think that their actions and behaviour is acceptable and why do they have the impression that they are above the law and ignoring rulings from The Rental Housing and Tribunal Council. This matter needs serious investigation as I am sure that I am not the only tenant complaining about them.</p>
