Falls information provided on the signed lease agreement
I've just moved in one of the Mafadi properties in Windsor (SeaHorse), and I have to say, biggest mistake on my part. The Mafadi agents are not helpful at all and one needs to run after them constantly for matters to be resolved if you are lucky at all. I received my first statement for March rental and it was inaccurate with charges that made no sense. I queried the statement and Rhofiwa was kind enough to correct it. My concern though came at the water billing. When I first enquired about the flat I intended leasing, I was given a breakdown of monthly charges, which I was advised that water was metered and same stated on the lease I signed. Now came the statement and Rhofiwa informs me that water is not metered but billed at a standard amount of R478 monthly (this does not include sewer which is billed at R487).
I have been sending emails to Maggie, Webster and Rhofiwa for someone to explain to me why I was made to sign a lease that does not speak to the terms that are now thrown at me without communication. I've made follow ups and no one is bothered to respond. I am really disappointed as it seems Mafadi just cooks up charges as it goes along, what then is the use of a lease agreement as this is a breach of contract on their part. I need an explanation as contracts are binding, however this one was signed under false pretense.
I need urgent intervention on this.
