The service received from Macpro has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. The Hisense dishwasher, purchased on 1 July 2026, developed

Dear Sir/Madam,

I wish to lodge a formal complaint regarding the ongoing problems with my Hisense dishwasher, which I purchased on 1 July 2026. The appliance is only approximately three months old, yet I have already experienced repeated faults, unsatisfactory repairs, and extremely poor communication from Macpro.

For the sake of clarity, I have outlined the sequence of events below:

1. Initial fault – 20 September 2026

On 20 September 2026, I reported that the dishwasher was displaying an F54 error, which was described as a water leakage or overfilling issue.

On 23 September 2026, Macpro attended to the repair and advised that the problem was caused by a blockage.

2. Recurrence of the same fault – 1 October 2026

On 1 October 2026, the dishwasher displayed the same error again. I reported the fault and was advised that Macpro would contact me to confirm when a technician would attend.

I requested a specific appointment time but was informed that the technician would phone me directly. I consequently waited at home from 14:00, only to discover, after contacting Macpro myself, that the technician would only be attending on Monday, 5 October 2026.

3. Second repair attempt – 5 October 2026

The technician attended on Monday, 5 October 2026, and again advised that the problem was caused by a blockage. However, during testing, the technician apparently noticed water leaking at the soap dispenser, which may have been related to the F54 error.

The dishwasher was subsequently removed for further repairs.

4. Unacceptable communication regarding the return of the appliance

On Thursday, 8 October 2026, I contacted Macpro and was informed that the dishwasher had been repaired and was undergoing testing. I was assured that someone would contact me that afternoon with an update. As has repeatedly been the case, nobody contacted me.

I subsequently received a WhatsApp message advising that the dishwasher would be delivered on Friday, 9 October 2026. As I would not be at home, I requested a delivery time and was again informed that a technician would contact me.

When I contacted Macpro today to confirm the delivery arrangements, I was once again informed that the dishwasher was still being tested. When I questioned this in light of the previous delivery confirmation, I was advised that delivery might only take place tomorrow.

This level of communication and service is unacceptable. Customers should not have to repeatedly contact a service provider to establish the status of their own appliances, particularly after being given assurances that are not honoured.

My concerns

I am particularly concerned that the same fault has recurred shortly after the initial repair. The explanation that the problem is simply a blockage does not adequately address the repeated failure, especially given that a water leak was reportedly observed during the second inspection.

I also question whether the underlying cause of the problem has been properly identified and resolved, rather than the appliance being subjected to repeated temporary repairs. I understand that the F54 error was associated with a water leakage or overfilling issue, and I would appreciate a clear technical explanation of the fault and the work performed.

For an appliance that is only approximately three months old, this entire experience is unacceptable. I purchased a new appliance with the reasonable expectation that it would function correctly and that any warranty repairs would be handled professionally and efficiently.

I therefore request the following:

A written explanation of the actual cause of the recurring fault and the repairs carried out. Confirmation that the dishwasher has been properly tested and that the underlying problem has been resolved. A confirmed delivery date and time, rather than vague assurances that someone will contact me. Confirmation of what steps will be taken should the same fault recur. Appropriate intervention to ensure that this matter is resolved without further unnecessary delays or inconvenience.

Given the age of the appliance and the repeated unsuccessful repair attempts, I expect this complaint to be treated seriously and escalated to the relevant manager.

I look forward to receiving a written response and a satisfactory resolution to this matter.

Kind regards,
