Pathetic Attitude - MAC Gateway

I visited the MAC Store in Gateway, Durban this morning to purchase my foundation and a fix it spray.We stood over 10 minutes without assistance. The consultant that assisted me asked for my shade and I had asked her for NC42 Prolongwear, she then left to check for stock and came back saying there wasn't any. She then said she doesn't know when stock will be arriving ( this isn't even a make up artist, this lady was brought in from stock department to assist on the floor). She then said she can give me a sample until stock arrives, she went to the testers and said there isn't stock available there too. When I walked in I looked at the NC42 tester on the shelf. So I told her that it is available and then she goes...oh you wanted NC42 not 45 I spent another 15 mintues waiting on her as she thought I asked for NC45. The assistant who helped me to get the fix it spray looked like she was on drugs. She was extremely in her own world and when I asked her the price she waves her hand saying aaahhh around R400 or so this is not on. MAC is a professional store and we as customers require professional assistance. Upon my exit when paying the lady cashing up tells me that there is no carry bags available. She then puts my products in a clear plastic for me to carry around in a mall. The service was pathetic. The store really needs work ethic.

I’ve been to the store again last Saturday, I went in to get a sample of NC40 Studio Fix as I was told Prolong Wear was being discontinued.

The assistants were extremely unhelpful and they only cared to do their own make up, it was quite early in the morning, around 9:30AM. She didn’t bother to test the make up on my skin, and when I had asked her questions she was very rude towards me. She didn’t hear a question of mine and instead of asking me to repeat myself , she asks me WHAT. This is not the level of service I expect when going into a store such as Mac.
