Mac Cosmetics gave me Contact Dermatitis

I have been with Mac Cosmetics for over 10 years. Two weeks ago I purchased the same foundation I usually use, but wanted a darker shade, I then received a sample to try out first before I open the actual tube - after 16 hrs of using this sample my skin broke out into a severe case of contact dermatitis, which caused severe physical discomfort and emotional stress. When contacting Mac I received a reply stating that all their products are made using high quality ingredients and go through a series of tests and that they regret to hear about my report on their product.

No advice of what I should do was offered, the customer service I received (in store and online, as I am still waiting for a reply) was absolutely shocking and the information I received in the email and what I received in store by a Mac adviser was contradictory and I honestly don’t know if I will ever step foot in Mac again, firstly because of the skin problem that occurred and secondly because of their terrible customer service.
