UNHAPPY CLIENT AND RESPONSE FROM COMPANY
I have contacted SA Warranties over a week ago regarding a claim on my turbo. I initially spoke to consultant one and was advised to take the turbo to an RMI approved turbo repairer and was told I cannot claim instead the repairer must do the claim. The repairer then contacted consultant 2 at SA Warranties and was told they cannot honour the claim as the vehicle is parked in my yard and not at an RMI approved repairer. I then spoke to consultant 3,4 and today (01/03/2019) to consultant 5 requesting to speak to the manager. Three days later no manager has phoned me. My turbo is currently at an RMI approved repairer. My vehicle in my yard. It's only a part that needs to be repaired and handed back to me once claim payment is made. Should SA Warranties request the vehicle be towed to the RMI repairer, they most welcome to tow it there. However, the repairer requests a further R2500 from the original R6000 quote. Will SA Warranties cover that additional cost? I just need SA Warranties to pay the RMI repairer, get my turbo back and have it fitted at my own cost. What does SA Warranties want to inspect, the car or the turbo. They most welcome to come to my residence to inspect the car and the turbo at the repairer. Why was I initially wrongly advised? Why isn't the manager contacting me. I'm paying almost R340 pm for this warranty. Awaiting urgent feedback.
