SA Warranties - Help, please do this a bit differently.

Hi,

I have the Bumper2Bumper policy for two vehicles, and have renewed them for both vehicles. I became aware that I could claim for a certain part of my vehicle only this week.

My vehicle went into a service on the 11th October 2016 for a 150 000Km service at an approved Chev dealership. In that service I requested tire rotation. Towards the afternoon the service center contacted me and informed me that a wheel bearing had to be replaced. I don’t know that much about vehicles suspensions so I agreed not even knowing what the part is because it had to be done I was informed. After discussions with SA Warranty over the policy renewals, it became evident I could have claimed under the policy for the replacement of that part.

I called SA Warranties the 25th of October, where I was informed nothing could be done after the fact. Please consider the below:

I have no knowledge of car suspensions, I would not have known a wheel bearing would need replacing, only the service center would have known upon inspection, thereby negating any ********** activities
I was not aware at the time my policy would cover that part as I have never utilized my policy and because I am only human, I cannot remember everything my policies cover, surely some leeway can be given?
Even if SA Warranties was informed, the part still needed replacing. My occupation requires the utilization of my vehicle, and this repair was crucial.
I have acted in Good Faith by bringing this to your attention
Surely there is something SA Warranties can do for me?

I have all documentation relating to the service in question which I will forward upon request, I even have the wheel bearing that was removed from my vehicle in my possession, if someone senior at SA Warranties could please contact me as these tough economic times, the wheel bearing costs hit me hard.

Thank you
