Refusing to pay for claim
A couple of weeks back I started having problems with my car, took it for diagnostic and it was determined that the oil pressure valve needs to be replaced. I contacted M-Sure some time last week to for a claim, the consultant I spoke with told me in order for them to proceed the vehicle needs to be at a work shop. Being the person that I am, I inquired about the steps I need to take to get this thing sorted as swiftly as possible as I never want to be blind sided. The consultant told me that the workshop must make the claim not me and the workshop needs to be RMI approved. The workshop got in contact with said insurer and was told that the vehicle need to be within their premises in order to process the claim. I eventually sent the car in and they started working on it. Today I get a call from the dealer saying that M-Sure says as much as they are RMI approved they do not appear under their umbrella so I must pay for the job and should the claim be approved M-Sure will reimburse me. I don’t not have such an amount and that is why we have warranties in place for such. Had this been communicated from the beginning we would not be in this predicament and further more why did they continue corresponding with the workshop whereas they know they don’t work with dealers that are not under their umbrella? Who must pay for the job now?
