Proof of cancer

Disgusting service. On the 4th of April 2020 I took out a policy for retrenchment cover for my vehicle due to covid. The policy has been in effect since the 1st of April 2020.The policy had an added benefit for dread disease. On the 27th of February 2021 I was diagnosed with breast cancer early stage. I submitted a claim in April 2021 however now you require medical records from 2019 to prove the condition did not exsist. This includes all doctors records as well as hospital records and sick leave records for 2019.this despite the fact that all documentation provided to you shows diagnosis was this year 2021. Even if the condition was preexisting why would I have waited a year to claim. Seems to me you are looking for a reason to not pay the claim. Very disappointing that during an extremely difficult time for me you are waiting me to prove that I did not lie and advise that the cancer was present in 2019
