Diabolical

I bought my 75 yo mother a used i10 last May from Hyundai Roodepoort. Their service is also completely useless.

It came with an M-sure warranty. In May I took it to my own mechanic for its 1st service. He pointed out that the head gasket had blown as there was water in the oil. I took it to Hyundai over a month ago where it still sits. They won't do anything until I give permission for them to open the engine.

I said but its under warranty. M-Sure first want a report and only then will they decide whether or not to pay for it. So if M-Sure decide not to pay for it, and going off the diabolical reviews on the internet, the chances of this happening are very high, we will be liable to Hyundai for opening the engine and reassembling it and then I would have further costs with my mechanic to fix the head gasket.

How can a company offer a warranty and then decide whether or not to pay? My mechanic is old school. I would trust him against 1000 Hyundai 'mechanics' The head gasket has gone, it needs fixing, why is a report needed?

My mother is 75, her pension is very low. I support her a lot financially. Neither of us has this kind of money to find or throw around to fix something that the warranty should fix.
