Compliments to those who earn it!!
Looking through Hellopeter's reviews I noted that people like to complain, but rarely give compliments to those who earned it.
I am one of SA Warranty's service providers and I speak for most of my clients. We've done over 50 claims since October 2017 of which only two was unsuccessful due to the fact that the failed components was not covered on the policies in the first place. Now let's be clear, these policies has all got limits, which is clearly stated in the booklet you receive with the policy and this limits is set by which policy you bought, mileage and age of your vehicle. Exactly the same way any Life policy would work. You cannot get R10m life cover for R50 per month while you're 83 with high blood pressure and diabetes. All of which is supposed to be explained to the vehicle owner upon taking out the policy (with delivery of your car)
I see so many negative reviews from people that didn't read the policy documents in the first place and just "assumes" that they get a full factory backed warranty for R6995. Some simple common sense it advised for such people. You cannot be stingy and pay only R6995 for a Mechanical warranty and expect them to pay the full amount when you try to claim R90,000 for your 10year old Land Rover with 300,000km's on the clock's crankshaft that's broken in half. Go back to the salesperson who didn't explain the warranty to you in the first place.
I recently tried to do a gearbox claim for a client at one of SA Warranties Rivals. The customer pays R341 per month for her policy which covers her only for R5000 on her car's gearbox (age and mileage dependent). After more than a week of calling and emailing (remember I handle all claims for my customers), the claim was approved for R1500 (quote was R13,000). After an enquiry they stated that they paid only that amount because of their "betterment policy" upon which it was explained that this was because the vehicle was being repaired with new parts and that the customer will now be better off than before. Now let's be clear, This case was not with SA Warranties but with one of their rivals (of which I certain I'm not allowed to mention the name of) If this case was with SAW i would've had an answer within a few hours and I'm sure they would've paid maximum component limit.(which would be R8000 for the same type of policy)
If you want to complain and badmouth this company, first get your facts straight or better still, try one of their rivals. You would be shocked at most of the other's service.
If you read your documents before submitting a claim and then submit it correctly, claims and payouts are an absolute bliss with SA Warranties.
Personally I want to congratulate Cassie van Rensburg (Claims manager) and his whole team. And it's about now you're supposed to get the Bells!!
Keep up the great work!!
