Claim after urgent repairs not covered

I've been a client of M-sure and their extended warranty options for many years now, I believe this is the 4th time we have taken out cover on our vehicles. Generally their service has been very good over the years with very good cover. I recently renewed my policy for another 2 years and I noticed that some offerings had changed and the cover did not appear as extensive as previously. Aside from that, the vacuum pump on my car failed recently and the vehicle was undriveable but I needed it repaired urgently. I didn't want to waste time by potentially having to wait for the assessor, so I approved the replacement of the vacuum pump repair with the mechanic thinking I could lodge the claim with M-Sure after the urgent repairs. Unfortunately M-Sure will only consider a claim after the repairs if it was an 'emergency over the weekend' repair, so my claim was turned down despite the fact that this was a standard vacuum pump replacement by a RMI approved mechanic - everything was above board & quite standard, I was on the road within a few hours again but the claim was not covered.
