Chopping and changing to avoid paying!!!!!!!!

On Friday, 13 Dec '24 I was informed by the delearship that you only authorised a little above R14k (from a bill of around R25600) for the timing chain and clutch replacement. This is after full authorisation of R24K was obtained on 28 Nov '24. Upon calling your call centre, I was informed that both clutch and timing chain were combined as one claim and therefore only the highest amount will be paid. This is not a true reflection of what happened, the timing chain was treated as a single claim and the dealership was informed to open a new claim for the Clutch. This is when your consultants said they will only be paying R12500 + R2500 for everything because they're treating it as one claim. How is it one claim suddenly?! This is in conflict with three claim reference numbers which show that YOU logged these as two, separate claims. I asked your consultants about the step-up policy which is supposed to settle any shortfalls, and I was told it will only be R600. I have been paying for these services for a very long time and will not settle for such small amounts. A step-up cover aka Gap cover is supposed to cover shortfalls and you cannot suddenly decide that it's combined when you closed the first authorisation and instructed the dealership to open a new one. You cannot chop and change as you please. Logically, if you issue three different auths numbers it means it's three different claims. Pay up, I want my car back! I have been covered with you since my original warranty expired over 5 years ago and cannot believe that you want to shortchange me like this. This is my first time claiming and I'm very underwhelmed and heartbroken as a long-standing customer. Please send the authorisation for the full outstanding balance.
