NOT WORTHY OF A PAPER BAG

so me and colleague walked in ko Lovisa The Grove Mall (Pretoria), then the consultant who is in the store at that particular time helps us with the whole transaction, goes on rings out the items we are buying ,and she offers us a plastic bag and we politely ask for a paper bag, and she tell us we bought stuff on sale so we don't deserve a paper bag ( her exact words) , so me and my colleague we ask, if she is selling the paper bag because we are willing to buy it, the she says no she is not selling the paper bag. Since i'm also in retail or should i say sales industry, i know what is costumer service , so i'm failing to understand gore why as clients are we not treating the at Lovisa The Grove Mall. Is it a must that i must make a purchase worth a THOUSAND (R1000.00) Rand's to get a Lovisa Paper Bag? or maybe its because i went in there wearing my work inform? as she said we don't deserve the paper bag . this is shocking ,Lovisa is known for class and great experience when you walk in the their outlets . Honestly i'm failing to understand
