Bad piercing experience at Lovisa - The Grove Mall

I had a terrible experience that the Lovisa branch at The Grove Mall in Pretoria today. I went to have my ear pierced during which the employee pierced my left ear incorrectly (too low). Upon realising her mistake, she said that she would rectify it by shooting another hole. While I am aware that mistakes happen, I feel that if you are offering a professional service, then mistakes like these should not occur.

I was hesitant to have another hole pierced as she had said that the piercing gun must be faulty.

I left the store and after consultation, I decided to have the incorrect earring removed by the employee. Upon removal she promised me that she would shoot the new earring in correctly. I was extremely hesitant, however I allowed her to correct her mistake.

What proceeded to happen was that she shot another earring through my ear, then removed it and put the original earring back in. Besides massive discomfort, I was not made aware of this, but had to tell her to sterilize the earring that she was placing in my ear again, which I believe should be common practice. She said she could not open another packet of earrings. I do not find this fair, as the mistake was not on my part. I had wanted to take my little girl to have her ears pierced there last weekend and thankfully I had not.
