Poor returns policy for damaged goods

Very disappointed today. I bought a double pack laser printer toner cartridge for R3152. The first cartridge was fine. Lasted eight months. The second had a hole in the plastic casing leaked Ink as I opened the package. Loot took over two months to deal with my request for a replacement. Today they said that my complaint was outside the seller's three month's returns policy. That is not fair for such an expensive item in a dual pack. Loot are good at books, but I shall be wary of buying other products from them.
