Paid order has been cancelled

I placed an order on Bid or Buy, the seller being Loot. I have now received an email saying they have cancelled my order because they did not receive the money from Bid or Buy. How can that be my problem?

I called them to enquire and they said this is normal. I must send proof of payment. Why can't they chase this up with Bid or Buy?

Ridiculous!
