Online shopping

It has taken one whole calendar month, numerous phone calls and emails before an item ordered on 29th April 2016, "found" to be out of stock and a discontinued line after a direct payment via EFT entailing a further cost of R35, another order placed and yet more money paid out before delivery was made today, 30th May 2016. During the course of my telephonic conversations, I have found out that this company advertises items widely on the internet, including many "special offers" like the one I took, but they do not have the stock!! This online company also has a poor record, in my view, of communicating, supporting and caring for their customers. I shall never deal with them again!

Dear Lesley,

Please accept our apologies that you did not have a good experience with us.

Stock availability is certainly very important and it was with regret that we were unable to supply the item you originally ordered. Unfortunately, the last units at our supplier were bought by other customers just before our order reached our supplier.

Like many other online stores, we offer items from stock kept in our warehouse (24 hr dispatch) but also offer customers the option to order items not in stock. This way, we offer our customers access to millions of products that may not be available in most shops. The website advises when you can expect your delivery, based on the usual time it takes to order from the supplier and regular stock updates from our suppliers are maintained to ensure we only offer items if stock is available.

Again, we are very sorry we could not get the item you ordered. We tried to locate a similar product but the only suitable option was a more expensive brand. It was offered at a discount due to the circumstances and we explained it would take 5-9 working days to arrive.

We certainly do care for our customers and loathe to cause any disappointment. We take your feedback on board and make sure we continually address areas where we can improve.

Kind regards,
Laura Seymour
