Non existent communication

We had to return an unsatisfactory product to Loot. On two occasions Fedex failed to collect (they said they'd phoned my cell but if so hadn't bothered to leave a message.) On the third occasion, when in desperation I phoned Loot to find out what was happening. I was told that they would collect from our area between three and four. They arrived at 10am! The courier was very nonplussed when we asked him why he'd arrived so early. I\m not sure if Loot communicate with Fedex, or whether Fedex don't bother to use the information given to them. When I spoke to Loot I told them I switched my phone off during the day, but asked them to ask Fedex to LEAVE A MESSAGE when they phoned. I don't return calls when all I have is a number.
Recently we made the mistake of ordering another item from Loot and asking for it to be delivered. Exactly the same thing happened. I received an anonymous call, as did my husband. THERE WAS NO MESSAGE, NOT ON VOICEMAIL OR sms. No-one knew about the delivery so we weren't home.
Loot don't work over a weekend and take two days to respond to an email. Very frustrating."

Hello Turnjay,

We apologise that the each time the collection was attempted between 3 - 4 that the driver advised no one was home.

We can confirm that your husband's number was provided to the driver as per your request.

It is not common practice for courier to call before delivery and this is a special request that has to be submitted each time a delivery is expected. Of course, the message is sent to the driver.

Apologies for the inconvenience experience with this return.

Kind regards,
Wardah
