No stock, no response, poor solution

I wanted to purchase a Kenwood Mixer from a different supplier for R3299, until I noticed a smaller, but more affordable model on the Loot website for R2899, which i then paid for. It was only a week later when I was informed that the product was out of stock & discontinued. They offered me the machine which i was originally interested in (which was selling for R3299), at a reduced price of R3499. I informed them that because of them not telling me they don't have stock, yet they took my money, I now also lost the chance to pay R3299 for the machine at their competitor, as the special had ended by now. I got no response - not from my email or follow-up email. Surely they should offer me the bigger machine at the same price as the competitor or refund me. Not sure if they will ever get back to me or reimburse me, but if you are sitting with R2899 of someones money, surely the least you can do is get back to them...
